Empowering the community
through education & heritage
Montserrat Aspirers, Inc. has served Dorchester's community since 1974. Our mission is to offer aspiring youth the opportunity to gain a competitive edge in this changing society through workshops, academic tutoring, scholarship awards, and activities rooted in cultural awareness.
Fostering education is our foundation
The Montserrat Aspirers Incorporated (The MAI) is a body of talented and dedicated individuals who are committed to fostering education, uplifting the community, and celebrating the culture of Montserrat and other Caribbean islands. A stalwart of the greater Boston community, The Montserrat Aspirers was founded in 1974 by a group of young Montserratians who aspired for educational excellence. The mission has since evolved to include establishing a strong foundation in the Boston area and creating pathways for cultural awareness and preservation.
The organization is located at 358-364 Washington Street in Dorchester, Massachusetts. General meetings are open to the public and held on the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 pm, with the exception of holidays and special occasions.
